The minimum requirements to become a pilot in Asia is:

1. CPL:
-
Must be 18 years old (For CPL)
-
Valid Private Pilot’s License:
-
Must be at least 17 years old
-
Be able to speak and understand English for communications
-
Need to have a Class 2 medical requirements (You need to contact a recognized Aeromedical Examiner (AME) to receive the class 2 medical
-
Theoretical Knowledge examinations (Must Pass Subjects such as, Air Law, Human Performance, Meteorology (Weather), Communications, and navigation.) and (Exams specific to the aircraft category like, Principles of flight, Operational Procedures, Flight Performance and planning, and aircraft general knowledge) Depending on your flight school or country, it may differ
-
Complete an approved flight training programme that meets with the minimum flying experience of your country

Pass the final flight test

2. Pass all required examinations theoretical exams which can differ from flight schools and countries.

3. Class 1 medical (Consult a recognized Aeromedical Examiner, depends on your country, you can search up “Trusted aeromedical examiner in (country)”)
​
4. Have at least a minimum of 200 hours of total flight time (While training in the flight academy you will most likely achieve this)

100 hours of being a pilot in command
-
Having 10 hours of being a pilot in command while in the night
-
Minimum of 50 hours cross-country (If your plane can fly relying on instruments)
-
Minimum 20 hours cross-country (If your plane cannot fully rely on instruments to fly)

5. ATPL:
-
Must be at least 21 years old
-
Be able to speak and understand English fluently
-
Class 1 Medical (Consult recognized AME “Aeromedical Examiner”)
-
Pass Theoretical Knowledge exams at the level of an ATPL license
-
Have flying experience (Average is 1500 hours in total)
-
Must have a valid CPL Certification
